    hi there,

do you have any idea how to change the generated code
    ——————-
    [kml_flashembed publishmethod="dynamic" fversion="8.0.0" movie="http://www.mydomain.com/firstload.swf" width="880" height="250" targetclass="flashmovie"]

    [/kml_flashembed]
    ——————-
in order to use it at the header.php?

    Thanks
    Joachim

Their is no need to change the generated code,if you want it in your header then paste the code with your desired width and height any where you want.
for any queries about header go to this link. http://flexlearner.wordpress.com/2009/12/09/sample-header-in-wordpress/

If I paste the generated code I only can see a white screen 880×250.
The flash movie will not run.

    The problem may be
1)you are not providing the correct path of the flash file check it and try again.
2)If you know the exact height and width of the flash then mention it.

Is there a way to use this plugin to generate regular html code, rather than WordPress short-code? I want to put this directly in a template page, not in a post text box. (I tried putting the short-code on the page just in case, and the code itself appeared.)

You have pasted the code wrongly or else their may be a problem with your file path.try to paste the exact code outside the loop.it would definitely work..

Is it possible that this plugin works only in regular WordPress and not MU? I used every possible variation of the path. I even copied the full path (including the http:// protocol) that’s working elsewhere on the site, where I inserted the Flash manually. What I don’t understand is how something like [kml_flashembed movie="/path/movie.swf" height="300" width="300" /] could be anything other than short-code that runs on the server. This isn’t a standard language, so how can a browser interpret it, especially outside the Loop?

If this plugin has an API made for PHP, that should have a chance of working.

it works on both wordpress and wordpress mu.the possible problem in your case are

1)you are not providing the correct path of the flash file check it and try again.
2)If you know the exact height and width of the flash then mention it.

Note:mention the exact height and width of the original flash file you are inserting it would work definitely.

    Dear Sir,

I am a writer trying to put some flash into my website. I have astonished myself so far that I have even got a site up and running, but with embedding flash I am positively overwhelmed. I have tried and tried but to no avail. I think I need some personal tutoring. For example I don’t even know if I have published my swf file corretnly. If you could help with this matter I would be happy to send you a complimentary ebook version of my novel when it is published. Please get in touch via email. Thank you very much.
